So living in the rust belt has destroyed my OEM wheels on the truck. As a result I’m currently looking for replacement wheels to wear in the summer. Unfortunately almost all the aftermarket wheels look like they come with a complementary Tapout sticker for the back window and that’s just not my style. Seriously, why do 90% of all aftermarket wheels come with fake bead lock bolts cast into the rim? I haven’t been able to find OEM replacements either. I’ve narrowed it down to the following three choices, what are Oppos thoughts?
Choice one
Choice two
Choice three

#3 IMHO

americanmuscle.com has a small selection that don’t require a tapout tattoo. I’d go option 3 or try craigslist. Someone might have just upgraded to some sweet fake beadlocks and be trying to offload their stocks wheels.
Here is a stock set of FX4 wheels in Denver. Decent price and TPMS included.

Here is a used set that look to be in decent shape.

I like choice 2
3 isn’t bad, but I think they would look better with thicker spokes.

Choice 2 or 3.
I agree with you on the wheel style issue. So many truck wheels are MACHO AND MANLY AND PSEUDO-MILITARY and it’s really a turn off... Take off the fake bead locks and the big chrome stars, please!

Some places sell take off wheels. When people buy new trucks & put after market wheels and tires right away the new oem wheels get sold for cheap.

I like option 3 or the tire rack steelie option.

Gotta say #2, which is odd because I’m not usually much for tuning fork spokes.

I vote for two. It’s a clean twin spoke design and isn’t all black.

I like 2

Choice 2.

I like 3 best, but 2 is pretty good as well. I’m so over black wheels that aren’t steelies.

I’m going to be buying ATX Mojave IIs for my truck soon to replace my uncoated aluminum American Racing wheels. If you’re into an “OEM-ish” look they have it.

Any choices without the ford ?

THIS ^^
I did this with my 2001 Suburban; I got a set of ‘07 Tahoe wheels (this was in 2007) with nearly-new tires, for $800 shipped right to my door. I sold the old wheels on CL for $150 I think, with mediocre tires. I guess people trade in their factory wheel/tire setup when they put on... whatever questionable choice aftermarket thing was popular in ‘07. Probably 20" chrome spinners.

try a Ford dealer see if they have take off wheel sets?

Nope. That is the truck they’re going on. Well, not that particular truck, but a truck that color.

I like two. You try CL? You can sometimes find brand new factory wheels from some guy with a Tapout sticker on his truck who swapped his out.

My dad has always got cheap take offs for his truck. His old 2010 Ram 3500 he got some new wheels from a 2014 Laramie for cheap.

Steelies!

I’d personally go with #3, but #2 looks pretty good too

Why not just get a 2nd set of OEM wheels?

I vote option 2 but I agree with everyone else to check your local CL first.

2 or 3. Avoid 1 in my opinion

option 3

#2 looks good, much like something that would be stock. But if that’s too tame, here’s this suggestions. I think it comes with a free girl. If not, she would be very happy for you if you bought them.

Choice two looks the most OEM-ish imo, if that is what you are going for.

Two? Maybe? I feel your pain buying truck wheels.

I’ve looked at the AX199's in bronze lately. I don’t have wheel money but those are the ones I’d buy for mine. Buddy of mine is going to 33's on his tacoma and needs new wheels with 4.5 inch backspacing which means his wheels will be identical to mine, so its made me go looking too.

Choice 3, picture of my dirty old ranger for inspiration.

I have AR172s right now and the fitment is perfect but they literally need to be polished every other day or they look like dogshit. I keep my truck really clean and it bothers me quite a bit. I’ve always liked the Mojaves and my truck isn’t a good color or otherwise cool enough for something more modern or flashy like bronze wheels or FNs or Enkeis so that’s my plan. By summertime I should have some cash laying around ready for a “no reason” purchase.
